Breakfast Primary School - Matetsi Zimbabwe
On one of our 4 x 4 Guided Self Drive Safaris, we randomly took the back Matetsi Road from Victoria Falls through to Robins Camp. On route a gentleman waved us down and asked if we could give him a ride to the next village where he lived. When we dropped him off at his destination, we asked if he knew of a local farm school nearby, as we had plenty of stationery that we had brought with to donate.
" Ofcourse" he said, "you have reached the right place ". And he took us to Breakfast Primary. And we sure reached the right place!

BREAKFAST PRIMARY - HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Matetsi is a village in Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe and is located about 55 km west of Hwange. The village started as a railway siding and took its name from the nearby Matetsi River. Most of the surrounding land is under forest and the Matetsi Safari Area. The community do so much for this little school. They have a buy a brick program, and together have started building new premises, but money for school benches, tables, learning materials is far down the line. We appeal to all, if you could help us kit out this school. Breakfast Primary has 5 teachers and 150 pupils. The teachers do all they can to teach the syllabus to the children, with next to no materials. Donations, teaching aids provided by Doris Sommer, Beat Erni, Peter & Lisa Michel.

DESKS ARRIVE AT BREAKFAST PRIMARY
Doris Sommer, Beat Erni and Marga Davis, from Bamba iAfrika Live it Love it, went to Masvinga (Bulawayo), Zimbabwe, and purchased much needed school equipment for the rural school in Matetsi, Breakfast Primary School. After much research, we found a local carpenter, who was able to help build all the desks and resource in, what he couldn't make himself. This all, with his help was loaded onto the train to reach its destination at Matetsi Siding. The excitement of all at Breakfast Primary, when the goods arrived, is a memory I will forever treasure in my heart. The monies for this was generously sponsored by many wonderful people. We thank you all, so very much and hope that you will one day have the opportunity to visit Breakfast Primary, and see the fruits of your donations. THANK YOU, THANK YOU Bea and Doris

PUZZLES ARRIVE

PRIVATE DONATIONS
Donations, by Bea and Doris (Seen working, one in one interactions, in gallery pictures above) and many more sponsors, throughout our trips every year, included the purchasing of puzzles for Breakfast Primary School, Matetsi, Zimbabwe. The school has almost no educational equipment. The joy that this provided, not only for the children, but also the teachers, was amazing. The Educational value of puzzles is so very important. THANK YOU.
When on tour through Zimbabwe, we always visit the little rural school, Breakfast Primary at Matetsi, Zimbabwe. We prep all the clients to bring along school equipment to help this rural school. Heike Oberrauch, Andreas Oberrauch and Marie Oberrauch were responsible for these donations

BUYING SCHOOL/LIBRARY BOOKS IN MASVINGO
With some of the monies donated, we, together with Israel, (In picture to the right) the acting Headmaster of Breakfast Primary School-Matetsi, bought syllabus books, and the schools' first ever Bibles, and library books. The joy of these books received at the school, by the children and community, was incredible. We would like to start the "Buy a Book" programme, for those who love reading and books, and feel they would like to support this side of helping to build a library, in this rural area. If we could reach a thousand people - imagine the little library we could create!
Bea and Doris, further, privately sponsored Israel monthly to study further, to achieve his goal of a degree, to become a fully qualified teacher and have the necessary qualifications to apply for a Headmasters post. WOW - this was an amazing sponsor. THANK YOU THANK YOU
