It was finally the weekend! Amari and her cousins were as excited as a swarm of bees buzzing around a honeypot as they set off early for Addo Elephant National Park. They had planned it perfectly, knowing that around midday, the mighty elephants would be heading to the watering hole. Eager to see this magnificent sight up close, they wanted to be the first ones there.

As the sun climbed higher, it bathed the land in warm light. By ten o'clock, though, the heat was already sweltering, and Amari’s friends were starting to feel like grumpy bears who hadn't had their nap.
